Test Shootings [TFP-basis]

What is "Time For Pictures" (TFP)?

Time for Pictures (short: TFP) is often used in photography when a model is rewarded with photos from the photo shoot instead of a fee. In the past, these were real printouts. Today the images are made available in the form of downloads.

An agreement is recorded in writing with a so-called “Model Release Contract”. It regulates the photographer’s and the model’s rights and obligations in relation to publications, data protection and copyright.

You can download my Model Release Agreement here. This is my basis for working with all my models.

As a passionate photographer, I find inspiration in people from all walks of life. Some of the most captivating faces I’ve encountered are those I’ve discovered on the streets, and I especially enjoy working with non-professionals or semi-professionals who bring a fresh perspective to my creative projects.

Twice a year, I host Test Shootings as a way to connect with new talent and explore fresh faces that align with my unique style and approach.

During these sessions, we’ll explore various lighting setups and themes such as Beauty, Fashion, or Product-on-Model. This allows me to see how well we work together, assess your versatility, and understand your range as a model. Towards the end, I’ll also guide you through modeling and posing challenges to test your adaptability, expressiveness, and comfort in dynamic, high-pressure scenarios.

These sessions are not only about building a professional rapport but also about curating a pool of models who thrive in my creative process and excel in the specific categories I work in. Whether for collaborative projects or paid opportunities, this is how I ensure we’re a great fit for future endeavors.

I hope, above all, that you enjoy yourself, have a great time, and gain valuable insights into my creative process. And, of course, you’ll walk away with stunning photos of yourself! Feel free to browse my portfolio to get a sense of my style and the kind of work we might create together.

In General, most of the Shootings follow the same process to ensure that you and I have a good time, and chances are limited that one of us is disaponted.

1. Step: First Contact

One of us may connect which means that either I spoke to you personally, we made contact via InstagramModelmanagement or other relevant platforms or you contacted me via Social or website.

2. Step: Meet & Greet

In the next step, we meet via video call to get to know each other and see if the chemistry between us is right. Since I work conceptually and project-based, interpersonal relationships are very important to me. At this meeting, we also discuss ideas and details about the shooting and we agree on a date and a location.

3. Step: The Moodboard

After we’ve agreed to move forward with our photoshoot, I will create a custom mood board tailored to you as a model, combining my vision and creative ideas. This document will be sent to you via email for your review. I encourage you to share your feedback and thoughts so we can finalize the concept together, ensuring the shoot perfectly reflects both our expectations.

4. Step: The Shooting

Now it’s getting exciting! Depending on how much time we have, we’ll explore a variety of lighting setups and poses to bring the moodboard to life and test various set ups. Don’t worry – there will be moments to relax, sip some tea, or take a break if needed. Wondering what you might need to bring or prepare? We’ll go over all of these details during Step 2 and 3 in our planning meeting. Typically, there’s no need for you to bring anything special or do much preparation. If makeup is required, I’ll take care of that too.

5. Step: Photo Delivery

I will carefully curate a selection of the RAW images, process them, and apply high-end retouching. This process typically takes about 4 to 6 weeks to ensure every detail is perfected. Once completed, the final images will be delivered to you via a convenient download link.

Interested to Collaborate?

Let’s work together to bring creative ideas to life. If you’re looking to collaborate on something unique and meaningful, I’d love to connect and explore what we can create.
