Through Time

DATE: November 2024

LOCATION: Studio “Haus am See” Switzerland

COLLAB: Artist Nicole Blattmann | nicoleblattmann.ch

In the project Through Time, I had the privilege of collaborating with Swiss artist Nicole Blattmann, who served as both muse and model. This series reimagines the lineage of a single family of women, portrayed through Nicole’s striking versatility. Each portrait captures her embodying a different era, presenting her as the descendant of a shared ancestry linked by a timeless piece of jewelry—a symbol of continuity and heritage.

Every portrayal reflects the aesthetics, costumes, and visual styles of its historical period, while remaining uniquely tied to the character of each “woman.” From the elegance of the Victorian age to the boldness of the Roaring Twenties, and through to the minimalist trends of the modern day, the project celebrates individuality within a shared legacy.

By blending period-accurate styling with a contemporary photographic perspective, Through Time explores themes of identity, connection, and the enduring spirit of women throughout history. Nicole’s artistry brought depth and authenticity to each transformation, allowing the story of this fictional lineage to resonate across time.

Blurrred

DATE: 2024

LOCATION: Studio “Haus am See” Switzerland

TALENT: various

“Blurrred” is a conceptual photo series that explores the interplay of visibility and mystery. Featuring various models obscured by semi-transparent glass and textured surfaces, the images blur the line between presence and absence, leaving viewers to question what lies beyond the haze.

The intentional lack of sharpness invites introspection, evoking a sense of curiosity and uncertainty. Each frame challenges the viewer to interpret the hidden emotions and stories, creating a dialogue about perception, identity, and the layers that separate us from understanding the full picture.

LOCATION: Studio “Haus am See” Switzerland

TALENT: Yasmin Leya

“The Four Elements II” is a creative photo series featuring Yasmin Leya, inspired by the timeless forces of Earth, Water, Fire, and Air – a theme that continues to inspire me with this second series. The project explores humanity’s profound connection with nature, blending Yasmin’s dynamic and captivating presence with stunning visuals, expressive styling, and evocative poses. Each element is brought to life in striking environments, symbolizing the power, vulnerability, and beauty of the natural world in seamless harmony.

Benjamin

DATE: April 2024

LOCATION: Workshop Benjamin Planitzer, Bavaria, Germany

COLLAB: Benjamin Planitzer

This series documents the raw talent and process of Benjamin Planitzer, a Bavarian artisan who transforms massive tree stumps into intricate sculptures and wooden vases. Discovered through Instagram, I was captivated by his authentic connection to nature and his workshop’s rugged charm.

Through this series, I aim to capture the essence of Benjamin’s craft – his hands shaping raw wood into delicate art – and the natural beauty that inspires his creations. It’s a tribute to the artistry, effort, and raw spirit that define his work.

Four Elements

DATE: June – November 2023

LOCATION: Merlischachen, Switzerland

COLLAB: Aaron Berliner | aaronberliner.com

This special project conceptually connects the art of juggling with the four elements – fire, water, earth, and air – creating a unique visual language and corresponding juggling patterns to embody each element. Collaborating with the talented juggler Aaron Berliner, the project took shape over four months of development and was brought to life in November.

Aaron designed specific juggling patterns for each element, while I focused on the visual execution, including lighting, effects, and location. The two-day shoot took place in a former distillery, providing the height and atmosphere needed to fully realize the vision.
